You Know School Has Started

because I haven't posted in a while! :) Life is back to being busy and hectic with my nights spent doing school stuff, trying not to think of school stuff, or trying to spend some quality time with Jake.
I had a great first 5 days of first grade! I am excited to be back in the classroom after what I was doing last year, and I hope this is a great year for my students. I seem to have a good group minus a few issues. I have tons of pictures that I will mush all in this post so beware!

Wow, I didn't realize I had mostly pictures of myself. Hmmm.... anyway.

It is going to be a fun year. I have a bunch of rowdy talkative little boys but I am hoping I can convince them to talk less somehow. So far not much has worked, and I am not one of those teachers who can handle all the talking. I need mostly quiet when they are working. Today was a rough day. It was very long and we all seemed to be on edge. The kiddos talked non-stop and I was stressed because we had a heat advisory for the second day in a row which meant no recess. So, I only got about 15 minutes to eat and take a breather until they were back in my room for "recess." Today I put in a Magic School Bus video. Here's hoping tomorrow isn't so hot! Yeah right fat chance. This is what happens when you start in July. GRRR!~
