Rescued Beagle and volunteer

Hi Everyone!
You probably already know this because I sent out a mass email, but I am trying to raise $1000.00 or more for Arizona Beagle Rescue to help pay for the medical care of the 28 rescued puppy mill beagles. This hit me close to home. Most of you know that my little beagle Chloe is like my baby. I can't imagine her being treated this way. When I found out and read about this story I cried and cried. Everytime I go to www.azbeaglerescue.com for an update I cry. I don't understand how anyone can hurt an animal like this. I feel like I need to do something to help. I wish we were not so far away or I would be donating my time as a volunteer to help watch the beagles. If I had my way we would be fostering one with the intention of adopting. I don't think Jake is up for that though. ( I think Chloe wants a beagle friend!) So, because I am unable to help in those ways I thought I could at least donate and try to get more from friends and family. All the money will go to Arizona Beagle Rescue to help pay for the care and medical bills of the beagles.
Arizona Beagle Rescue operates solely on donations and does not operate a shelter. A statewide network of volunteers open their homes and hearts to provide foster care for rescued dogs until qualified, loving forever homes are found. As of Sunday, they still need foster homes for about half the puppy mill beagles. You can read the entire story of the beagle puppy mill and the people who saved these 28 dogs at the AZBR web site. Have you ever considered fostering a beagle?
This is from www.azbeaglerescue.com and is an update on the medical care they have already received.

The beagles have seen the vet!!
All the dogs saw the vet yesterday and all went well! All the dogs are negative for heartworm! All are being treated for ear mites as a precaution since some were positive and all are being dewormed. A couple have sarcoptic mange, a couple have bacterial skin conditions and all suffer different maladies from extremely poor nutrition. A few dogs are in heat but Lindie is going to have puppies!! Jelly might have mammary cancer - she is being tested further.
All in all, they are doing fairly well considering what they have all been going through! In a week or so, most will be spayed or neutered and hernia repaired so they can be moved into foster homes.
As you can see they have already received a lot of much needed treatment. A few will need more intense veternarian care to treat their skin conditions. Please consider donating to help these beagles live the next part of their lives much better than the first! Any little bit will help. Hug your dog and think what he/she would want you to do if it was them! :0 ) Sorry, I couldn't resist a shameless attempt to appeal to your emotions. Thank you all for your support, and for reading this awfully long post.
Let's pray for a world where animals are no longer harmed.
